Wednesday Writing Challenge: 100 Words
Welcome to the Wednesday Writing Challenge!
Every Wednesday, I pose a new writing challenge here on the blog. These challenges come from books on writing, classes I've taken on creative writing, or sometimes just from my own imagination. If you're an author, hopefully they will help you get your writing juices flowing and help you improve your craft.

***Here's Today's Challenge!***
Expand your imagination.
Write a 100-word scene
from the point of view of a foreign tourist visiting your home country.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hints and Tips:
.
What are some of the first and most important things a tourist would notice about your home country? Try to avoid cliches like historical landmarks of famous tourist traps: think about things like how the climate feels to them, what are the smells and sounds around them?
Focus on the things that will stick out in a visitor's immediate first impression.
Friday Flash -- A Break in Routine
Best damn group of perverts you'll ever read. Every Friday we write
flashers of 100 words precisely inspired by a given picture. The idea
then is to comment on and support each others work. Keep flashing!
Hunting's
a bitch of a gig. On the road, going it alone, always keeping one eye open. The
Sanctus Incendia keeps long hours. As in, 24/7. Yup. Tough being a
demon hunter.
Worth it
when you close in on your target, though. I watched the delicious slab of
beefcake across the diner. At least I knew
what I'd be having for dinner.
Because
it's tough being a demon hunter. The least I could do for this one was give him a good, hard fuck before he died in my
arms.
Who says
the demon has to be a bitch, too?
Drop by to see our other flashers!
